Sharon Stavenhagen presents "Harvest Santa"

My sculpture piece for the Paper Mache Artisans group "Fruits of the Harvest" is Harvest Santa. His many pockets are stuffed with all good things available to us during the harvest season. In his hands he holds a prize pumpkin, soon to be a jolly jack-o-lantern or my personal favorite, PUMPKIN PIE!! He is entirely hand formed of instant paper mache and stands 21" tall. To purchase this one of a kind sculpture visit sharonstavenhagen.etsy.com

Carey's Quirks presents "The Boogey Man"

It's Harvest Time! As the harvest begins, the Boogey Man escapes from the pumpkin patch.  He's ready to to celebrate his freedom and boogy the night away!  The Boogey Man is constructed from paper mache.  His outfit is embellished with crepe paper, glitter, and jewels.  He dances upon vintage organ keys.  The Boogey Man may be purchased online at ww.careysquirks.etsy.com

Cynthia Theroux presents

"The Grand Matriarch of the Sunflowers"

This is my entry to the 4th PMA Webshow Challenge. I hope you like it. I really thought about this subject for awhile because I wanted to make the subject of the summer's ending or "Fruits of the Harvest" be about where I live which is southern New England. I grow sunflowers among my flower gardens and really enjoy the magic of the butterflies flitting among the various flowers and the bright color of these flowers seem to attract the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. So here is my submission for the challenge. The Grand Matriarch of the Sunflowers. She is made first from muslin and then sculpted over in air dry paperclay, gessoed and painted with Jaquard's Lumiere Paints, then sealed with a matte varnish, her flower based throne is made from a hand painted wooden candle stick and I sculpted a paperclay sunflower as her throne. The individual flower's petal are created from a tyvek envelope, handpainted, again using Jaquard's lumiere paints, then and cut out and heated to cause the petals to curl for a more realist looking flower. I attach to flower to a hand made stained glass mosaic base. For more information on this piece visit www.Cindricksbabys.etsy.com. Thanks for looking, Cynthia Theroux
